WVSNA Membership Benefits & Programs
HOW TO JOIN: Members of the West Virginia School Nutrition Association (WVSNA) are the primary advocates for quality school nutrition programs in the State. While working towards goals to insure children have access to nutritious meals during the course of the school day, the Association also serves the membership by providing the following services.
The School Nutrition Association (formerly American School Food Service Association) is a national, nonprofit professional organization representing more than 55,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country.
What does it mean to be an WVSNA member?
To become a member of the West Virginia School Nutrition Association one must first become a member of the School Nutrition Association (national level). During this registration process, members must specify which state they choose to be a member of.
Dues and membership information is processed at the national level, but WVSNA Association Services is here to help with any registration or membership issues as they arise.
SNA now offers two different types of member ownership: Individual and School District Owned. Individual means you own your membership and it is transferrable if you leave your current school district. School District Owned means the School District you work in owns the membership and if the person who is using the membership leaves the district, it can be transferred to a another employee. School districts can pay membership dues for its members whether that membership is individually owned OR district owned.
Detailed information on membership levels can be found at www.schoolnutrition.org/membership, or you can use the following summary of current dues:
